The Bend of Islands Conservation Association (BICA) is a residents and friends group dedicated to flora and fauna conservation and community issues in the Bend of Islands area near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The Bend of Islands is in the Yarra Valley, about 40 km north-east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
It is in Nillumbik Shire. Before the local government re-distribution in the early 1990s it was part of the old Shire of Healesville, under whose auspices the Environmental Living Zone was established.
BICA is active in helping residents learn more about their natural environment.
BICA works with municipal and other authorities to ensure that the planning provisions that are the basis of the Environmental Living Zone are working well.
BICA provides a forum and focus for local activities, with emphasis on the continued protection of the flora and fauna of the area.
